Western Mystery Tradition is missing out
About 20 years ago, I attended a Bulgarian Orthodox ritual honouring my long-dead, now ex-father-in-law. The Bulgarian Orthodox church is unique in that it never reformed itself and managed to keep many of the rituals and traditions lost to even the Eastern Orthodox church.
Food offerings were placed in the aisle of the church, and the priest said prayer…
